HSE has launched consultations on the revised content of two Approved Codes of Practice (ACOPs). Changes to the ACOPs Workplace health, safety and welfare regulations (L24) and Safety in the installation and use of gas systems and appliances (L56) have been developed by HSE and industry stakeholders. Consultations ends on 30 July 2013.

This consultative document invites views on the revised Approved Code of Practice (ACOP) L56 – “Safe installation and use of gas systems and appliances”. The revised ACOP and guidance has been prepared by HSE in consultation with representatives from across the gas industry. The consultation began on 7 May and will close on the 30July.

These Regulations remove thirteen measures that have either been overtaken by more up to date Regulations, are redundant or do not deliver the intended benefits.
